Cookie Policy
A short page, because there is not much to say: the site currently stores nothing on your device that would require your consent.
Effective from 6 September 2026, version 1.0
What the site actually uses today
Under Czech electronic communications law, consent is needed only for storing data that is not necessary for the site to work — typically third-party marketing and analytics cookies.
We use none of those yet. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Sklik, no Meta Pixel and no session-recording tool. We embed no third-party maps or videos either, because those would bring cookies with them — which is why the map on the Contact page is a link rather than an embedded window.
So nothing the site stores today requires your consent.
Why we ask anyway
The consent dialog is there because we want the choice settled in advance. If we ever add an analytics or advertising tool, it will run strictly according to what you set there — not from the moment we install it.
The dialog locks nothing. You can read and scroll the page without clicking anything. Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting, nothing is pre-ticked, and closing the dialog counts as rejection.
What the categories mean
- Essential — keep the site working; they remember things like your reduced-motion setting. The site does not work without them, so no consent is required and they cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — would let us measure traffic in more detail than we do today. We use none at the moment.
- Marketing — would be used for advertising measurement and remarketing. We use none at the moment.
How to change your choice
There is a “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. It opens the same dialog you saw on your first visit, with your current choice loaded. Withdrawing consent is therefore exactly as easy as giving it.
Your decision is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key hmg-consent, together with the date you made it. It stays entirely on your device and is never sent anywhere. Clearing the site data in your browser removes it and we will ask again.
What the site stores on your device
Your setting of the “Reduce motion” switch in the footer, under the key hmg-motion, and your cookie choice under the key hmg-consent. Both live in your browser’s local storage, stay entirely on your device and are never sent anywhere. Clearing the site data in your browser removes them.
How we measure traffic
We measure traffic with a tool running on our own server that stores no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser and does not track individual visitors across sites. We see aggregate figures only — how many people came, where from, and which pages they opened.
Server technical data
Like any web server, ours records access in an operational log. That is not a cookie and nothing is stored on your device. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
