What the site stores on your device, what each category in the consent dialog means, and how to change your choice at any time.

What the site actually uses today
Under Czech electronic communications law, consent is needed only for storing data that is not necessary for the site to work — typically third-party marketing and analytics cookies.
There is exactly one such tool here — Google Analytics 4. It measures traffic, stores cookies on your device and passes data about your visit to Google. It runs only after you consent: until you switch on the “Analytics” category in the dialog, the measurement script is never added to the page and not a single request goes to Google.
Nothing else runs here. There is no Google Tag Manager, no Sklik, no Meta Pixel and no session-recording tool. We embed no third-party maps or videos either, because those would bring cookies with them — which is why the map on the Contact page is a link rather than an embedded window.
Your choice decides what loads
The consent dialog is not a formality. Google Analytics sits behind it: the measurement script is added to the page only once you switch “Analytics” on. Rejecting means it never loads — not that it loads and refrains from counting.
The dialog locks nothing. You can read and scroll the page without clicking anything. Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting, nothing is pre-ticked, and closing the dialog counts as rejection.
If you withdraw consent, measurement stops immediately and the site deletes the cookies Google Analytics has stored.
What the categories mean
- Essential — keep the site working; they remember things like your reduced-motion setting. The site does not work without them, so no consent is required and they cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4. Stores the cookies _ga and _ga_48G372J4XH and passes data about your visit to Google. It does not load without your consent.
- Marketing — would be used for advertising measurement and remarketing. We use none at the moment.
How to change your choice
There is a “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. It opens the same dialog you saw on your first visit, with your current choice loaded. Withdrawing consent is therefore exactly as easy as giving it.
Your decision is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key hmg-consent, together with the date you made it. It stays entirely on your device and is never sent anywhere. Clearing the site data in your browser removes it and we will ask again.

How we measure traffic
We use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited. What we want to know is how many people visit, where they come from and which pages they open. We work with aggregate figures and do not link them to your name or to an enquiry you send us.
Google processes some of that data outside the European Union. The transfer relies on standard contractual clauses and on the European Commission adequacy decision.
Once the “Analytics” category is switched on, these cookies are stored on your device:
- _ga — distinguishes individual visitors, valid for 2 years
- _ga_48G372J4XH — holds the session state for this particular property, valid for 2 years
Server technical data
Like any web server, ours records access in an operational log. That is not a cookie and nothing is stored on your device. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
